Life as we knew it (Moon Crash Trilogy, bk. 1) by Susan Pfeffer

This is a young adult novel, but it can be enjoyed by all. A meteor hits the moon pushing it closer to the earth with devastating consequences. Follow this with book two , “The Dead and the Gone”, which follows  a different urban family, and then with book three, “This World we Live In” where the two families cross paths.
